The Story Behind the Code

I didn't come from a technical background. I came from sales and operations, the kind of work where urgency is constant and clarity is rare.

I was the one pitching, cold calling, setting appointments, and keeping the pipeline moving. At the same time, I was sorting out broken workflows, calming frustrated teams, and trying to make messy systems usable, all before lunch.

Some days, I was selling electronics, then IoT... then SaaS. Other days, I was the accidental admin fixing them. And more often than not, I was the only one asking, "Why does this even work like this?"

That curiosity led me deeper. Deeper into the logic behind the systems. Deeper into the human side of software. And eventually, into tech itself.

The Moment That Sparked It All

It wasn't a Silicon Valley investor pitch or a keynote at a major conference that changed everything. It was a quiet moment in a meeting room in the Middle East.

We were reviewing the outputs of a machine learning system used to automate decision-making for financial approvals. I noticed a pattern. The system was faster than ever, yes, but nobody in the room could explain why it made the decisions it did.

That question haunted me. What happens when we can't explain AI decisions that affect real lives?

That moment became the foundation of Ethical XAI.

But my story didn't begin there.

The Moment That Changed Everything

We were deploying an AI-powered platform for a major client. The system denied a loan request, clean, fast, automatic.

But when I asked, "Why did it deny this one?"

No one could answer. Not the product team. Not the developers. Not the system itself.

That moment stuck with me. We had built something that made decisions... but not explanations. And that wasn't just inefficient. That was dangerous.

So I did what I'd always done. I asked hard questions. Then I started building the answers.

Ethical XAI: The Platform That Speaks When Others Stay Silent

Ethical XAI was born from that silence. It's a platform that makes machine decisions explainable, in real time, across roles, and with full transparency.

It detects bias, applies SHAP and LIME logic, creates role-specific explanations, and helps companies stay compliant with GDPR, the EU AI Act, and other emerging regulations.

It turns model outputs into narratives that auditors, users, and executives can all understand in their own language.

We're preparing to launch on AWS Marketplace, with multi-tenant support and compliance toolkits built in. But most importantly, Ethical XAI restores something essential: human trust in automated decisions.

After Ethical XAI, I realized this was just the beginning. So I founded Thoutam FZC, a UAE-based tech company focused on building products that solve overlooked, everyday problems, quietly, efficiently, and accessibly.

Our approach is simple: If something doesn't make sense to the user, it's not finished.
